Milky Way Ring - size 8.5

This combination is the basis for this entire collection. This motif continues my obsession with all things planetary.

I'm enamered with Opal and love how it dances in light colors. Both Opal and bone have smooth bakelite-like luster to them when polished.

At first this Opal was rough and all its sparkle could not be seen. It really came alive as I ground into the center and shaped it into a round flat circle.
