what is inlay?
The direct definition is of inlay is to remove some material from a solid form and then fill the negative space with a different material. When you grind both down to the same level, the result is a seamless singular surface and shiny finish.

The work
Yes, it is a process. Yes, it takes longer than most jewelry techniques to master and to make in general. I am here for it.
Because of the nature of the process, inlay is made over a few days time. Resin in between each stone needs proper time to cure.
Some designs may require several days to complete, depending on the level of intricacy.
cutting, Grinding, and shaping.
I hand select stones and cut them down to the closest desired size possible.
I grind off any excess stone and start to shape each piece to fit with the next, much like geometric puzzle pieces, but set in precious metal.
