The Shape of Memory invites viewers into a decade-long journey through Fati Genese's evolving practice in lapidary and inlay art, where shifting colors, materials, and inspiration chart the growth of an artist in transformation. Finished works are accompanied by archival sketches and photographs that offer a deeper context, revealing the emotions and ideas behind each theme. 

In collaboration, interdisciplinary artist Rohini Moradi expands the exhibition with an immersive soundscape drawn from the voices of stones. Together, the artists invite visitors into a multi-sensory mediation on matter, memory, and imagination. 

We invite you to join us for a live lapidary demonstration within the exhibition. In this brief but immersive session, experience the tactile rhythm of shaping stone using a single cabbing machine, the process artists use to reveal form and texture within raw material. This isn’t a performance at a distance, but a moment to come closer: to feel the hum of the wheel, to witness how surface meets motion, and to take part if you wish. Together, we’ll explore how transformation begins not in the polish, but in the first touch of stone and hand.
