I often reference this design as the one I cannot seem to leave behind. Route 66, is a design that has shown up in many collection as a new iteration that slightly differs from the previous one.
Inspired by the Four Corners region of Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona, where rivers once moved freely and time slowly lifted their paths into plateaus and mesas. These quiet, enduring forms, shaped by erosion, reveal traces of time honored riverbeds. The landscape has stayed with me through years of travel, etched into memory.
This design has moved through many iterations, at times echoing the desert light and terrain of New Mexico, and at others reflecting the layered geometry and monumentality found in scenes of ancient Egypt.
